Corner Systems Compared
Although corner systems are based on owner's desire aesthetically, sometimes the profile of the log dictates the corner connection.
Dovetail Corner, "D" Style Profile
The 12 Appalachian style log lends itself to the dovetail corner system. However, the dovetail corner can be utilized for the D profile as well. Our dovetail is a hand-crafted full dovetail to cause the corner to be structural in that when the logs are stacked the corner cannot shift.

Mortise and Tenon Corner, "D" Style Profile
Our butt and pass corner is made structural by the use of mortise and tenon. The male and female connection gives a smoothly defined inside corner with the traditional stockade exterior desired by so many.
