Longtime Log Home Manufacturer to Relocate Corporate Office, Design Center and Milling Operations to Jefferson, NC.
May 14, 2010, Jefferson, NC – Log Homes of America, Inc, one of the country’s premier log and timber home manufacturers, gathered for a ground breaking ceremony today at the future location of its new corporate office at the intersection of Highways 16 and 221 in Jefferson, Ashe County, North Carolina. County officials, the Chamber of Commerce, dealers and suppliers joined the company officers and employees on this momentous occasion.
The new headquarters of Log Homes of America will include a unique concept model home, which will also be the company’s design center and offices. “We are excited to relocate into a new sales center and headquarters that showcases the quality and craftsmanship of our homes,” says Nicole Robinson, Vice President of Marketing and Sales for Log Homes of America.
Joel Robinson, President of Log Homes of America, credits the hard work of county and state officials for making a smooth transition for the company and its employees. “Late last year we approached state and county officials to obtain the necessary permits to initiate work at the site,” says Joel Robinson. “Since day one it’s been a pleasure working with them. They continue to be extremely efficient in helping us relocate to Ashe County. This area of North Carolina is still growing and we are excited to house our facilities here. We’re also looking forward to becoming more involved in the local community while providing top quality log homes not only to customers in the High Country of North Carolina but also nationwide.”
The new headquarters will include the construction of a state-of-the-art log and timber milling facility, which will include planers, band saws, and other equipment, as well as the company’s log and timber inventory. The facility will continue to be one of the leading resources for superior quality log home packages, log and timber components for new construction and renovation, and premium custom millwork to homebuyers across the nation.
Log Homes of America expects to open its sales center and headquarters this fall and plans to relocate the milling operations in 2011. Established in 1989, Log Homes of America is a longstanding member of the Log Homes Council and the National Association of Home Builders.
Log Homes of America has won numerous awards and accolades for its quality designs. A log home package the company recently supplied in Fleetwood, NC earned nationwide publicity. A five page, four-color feature in Cozy Cabins: The Ultimate Cabin Guide was on newsstands in March. That same home was also the featured at loghomes.org, the official website for the Log Homes Council. To learn more about Log Homes of America, call 800-564-8496 or visit www.loghomesofamerica.com.
